Loving Lingerie!

Well I've failed miserably at my promise to update this blog more often! If it's any consolation it's not down to laziness I have been really really busy working lately on some great advertising jobs.

Ok! I will post some photos from my recent test shoots with Ruan Van Der Sande. This year, although I keep telling myself I need to shoot more Fashion, I mainly shot Lingerie which I have to say is my new favourite thing! I need to calm down though and still keep my tests varied as last year I went crazy shooting beauty.

These images are from an extra look we did with the amazing Roxy from Storm Models. We are doing a project over the next year but decided to do some shots we could post now.

These next few images are of the lovely Kim and Penny also from Storm:

These next shots are of gorgeous Miss Great Britain Amy Carrier who is also with Boss Models . I'm lucky enough to have worked with Amy a good few times now but this is by far my favourite shoot I've done with her. Also note the AMAZING Burberry coat she had for it!

Right that's all for now folks! I have a few cool jobs coming up so will definitely be back to post more about them (famous last words!!!).

Therese in Black...

These images were shot by the wonderful and extremely talented Keith Clouston back in the summer and recently have been published in both Modo Magazine and Bambi Magazine. It really was a super team that day including Eugene Davis hairstylist and Claudia Behnke styling and not to forget the amazingly beautiful Therese Fischer from Select Models. Here are my 2 favourite shots (the rest of the editorial can be viewed here):

RVDS - Need I say anymore?

This post is dedicated to the shoots I have done with this amazing photographer. I don't really need to say a lot, I think his work speaks for itself! I plan to kidnap him lots in 2012 so you'll be seeing a lot more of his work on my blog ;-)

These images are from our first shoot with the lovely Sophie Anderton, some of which were used for Cetuem London and one of which made the cover of Harper's Bazaar's Beauty Edition.

These images were a test we did for Storm Models with Fran.

Finally these images were from a test with Kamilla from Lenis Models.

Beautiful Jess!

So here are some clean beauty shots that I did with the awesome Phil Drinkwater with one of my favourite models in the history of the world!!! Jessica Lara from Boss Model Management. I have had the pleasure of working with her 3 times now and I would happily shoot with this girl every day of the week!
For the first look we kept it really clean and natural, as one of my favourite things about Jess is all her freckles. For the next look we went stronger... a lot stronger and we shot what has become my favourite beauty shot to date.
I adore working with Phil as I get such varied styles for my portfolio from really clean and natural to really glossy and polished.

It's been a while...

Ok so I'm still not used to this blogging lark! I really do have the best intentions when I sit down with the laptop and plan to write and upload new work but then I end up either online shopping for more make-up, which I definitely do not need but always seem to find a way of justifying it to myself! Or just tweeting about random things which are not really make-up related at all!

My new years resolution this time will most certainly be to blog a lot more. Not just sharing my work and what products I'm using, but also providing lots of tips and tricks and possibly answering peoples' make-up questions, I may even through in some industry advice for people just starting out for good measure!

Well to ease myself back in (and also because it's 23.50 and my brain isn't currently working very well) I shall post some new work from the last few months.

These shots are from a natural beauty story I shot with Garazi Photography and the beautiful Georgia Keegan from MOT Models. The nail polish used in the third shot was a nude colour from The Organic Pharmacy's Organic Glam range. I was sceptical at first wondering whether a product which was completely organic in would tick all the boxes but I was pleasantly surprised, not only is it toxin free, it goes on beautifully and the colour is really strong, it is durable and looks fantastic. It has fast become one of my kit and personal favourites.

Makeup Forever Flash Palette

I have a few really exciting shoots coming up over this next month so will definitely be blogging about them and posting some behind the scenes photos. In the meantime I am going to post some images I did a few months back with an amazing the amazing Keith Clouston and Lykke from M+P Models. The shoot brief was tied around using different coloured gels, so we based a colour scheme around each colour of gel being used and basically I sort of made up each makeup design as I went along! We wanted the look to be really clean and clinical as well as bold with colour but done in a simple way to mirror the angles and shapes of the way the gels were held. I used my flash palette from Makeup Forever which I bought from the wonderful Guru Makeup Emporium. This really is a wonder palette as it's so versatile you can use it for just about anything! From using to colour correct, you can use it on lashes, eyes, lips, brows, cheeks? It's amazing for creative concepts, you can have really block intense colour and it also blends perfectly. This is another kit essential for makeup artists. Hope you like what I did with it!

Ultimate Palette!!!

Ok so when on a flight to Portugal in the beginning of the year I saw the ultimate bridal palette in the duty free magazine. I'd never really used Urban Decay eyeshadows before but have been in love with their Primer Potion for a long time. I was a little unsure whether to purchase the palette but since it had every colour needed for the perfect day and evening look, I went ahead and bought it. I can honestly say this was one of the best purchases I'd made in a long time, and since April I have nearly used it on every job and shoot! I'm now having to try my hardest not to use it all the time, it's that good! The colours show up on the skin exactly how they look in the pan. They're have such longevity and you can really build the colour intensity up without hardly any fallout. They blend beautifully and the colours really are gorgeous. This is the perfect palette to buy someone as a gift and I think should definitely be a staple in a makeup artist's kit!
Here is a photo from a shoot I did with photographer Jen Salt and Alina from Storm Models where I used Buck, Naked and Sidecar on the eyes. Other products used were Ultra Foundation Pro by Face Atelier from the Pro Makeup Store, this is my favourite foundation to use on beauty shoots as the skin looks flawless and mannequin like. On the lips I have used Ruby Roo by Mac.
